This year will be my eighteenth year in education and my seventh year at Harts Bluff.
I am married with two children, two stepchildren, and three grandkids. My husband, David, is General Manager for the Franklin County Water District. My daughter, Alexis, is an RN at TCRMC. My son, Zachary, is a Registered Financial Analyst and lives in McKinney with his wife, Jordan, who is a kindergarten teacher for McKinney ISD I also have two stepchildren. My stepson is married and a Boom Operator in the Air Force. He and his wife are stationed at Kadena AFB in Okinawa, Japan. My stepdaughter is married with three adorable children and is a 5th-grade teacher in Mount Vernon.
We have five rescue cats named Ally, Stache, Chloe, and Lilly. Last fall we also rescued the “Harts Bluff kitten” and named her Peaches. We also have two rescue dogs, a Cheagle named Ollie and a Chihuahua named Yoda. My husband and I also help foster through the local area shelters, so there are usually other visiting kittens and/or puppies in our household. There is never a dull moment at our house! :-)
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and fur babies. My husband and I both love animals, so we enjoy advocating and fostering for the local shelters. I recently started teaching online English classes to Chinese students through VIPKid. I also love to craft with my Cricut in my new she-shed. Oh, and I’m also a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys!
