This year will be my seventeenth year in education and my sixth year at Harts Bluff.
I am married with two children, two stepchildren, and three grandkids. My husband, David, is General Manager for the Franklin County Water District. My daughter, Alexis, recently graduated from nursing school and is an RN. My son, Zachary, is a Registered Financial Analyst for Merrill Lynch in Frisco and his wife, Jordan, is a kindergarten teacher in McKinney. I also have two stepchildren. My stepson is married and a Boom Operator in the Air Force. My stepdaughter is married with three adorable children and is a 6th-grade teacher in Mount Vernon.
We have three rescue cats named Ally, Stache, and Lilly and a rescue Cheagle named Ollie (who thinks he is a cat.) This fall we also rescued the “Harts Bluff kitten.” Although we named her Peaches, she is also known as Baby Shark because…. well... she loves sneaky biting attacks on unsuspecting victims. 😺
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and fur babies. My husband and I both love animals, so we enjoy advocating and fostering (although… we have now foster-failed five times). My newest hobby is crafting with my Cricut. I also love to read and am a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys!
