I graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1998. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2002 from Texas A&M – Commerce and my Master’s Degree in Counseling in 2012 from Texas A&M – Commerce.
I have taught for a total of 10 years with 9 of those being in a public school setting. This will be my first year to teach at Harts Bluff. I actually attended school at Harts Bluff and graduated from 8th grade here in 1994, so I feel like I am returning home.
I will be teaching 4th grade ELAR.
I have two amazing children, Jordan and Jenna Mizell. They are twins and will be in the 7th grade this year at Harts Bluff. We have two dogs, Lillie and Bella, and two cats, Rowdy and Prince.
I look forward to meeting all of you wonderful people. In the meantime, here is a little bit of information about me:
I am mother to Jordan and Jenna Mizell. They are twins and will be in 7th grade this year at Harts Bluff. My children and I all LOVE to read, and I look forward to helping you love to read as well. We also all participate in TAEKWONDO at East Texas Taekwondo here in Mt. Pleasant. My son and I are both first degree black belts, and my daughter is only two belts away from earning hers. I love music, all different genres of music, and I also love to sing. I sing in my church choir at Calvary Baptist Church in Talco, TX, where my children and I attend weekly.
I’m sure you will learn so much more about me throughout our time together, and I very much look forward to learning about you!
