I attended Ector High School, and graduated in 2006. After graduation, I went on to attend college at Texas A&M University-Commerce where I graduated in December of 2010.
I have a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology with a Minor in Health. I also went back to school to get my Teaching Certificate. I am certified in EC- 8th grade, ESL, and GT.
While teaching in Sulphur Springs, I had to opportunity to extend my love of Science by attending the CAST convention in San Antonio.
I am excited to be joining the Harts Bluff family! I will be teaching Kindergarten, and am excited about building relationships and growing our skills!
I began my teaching career with Sulphur Springs ISD. I taught 4th grade Math and Science for 3 years before our family moved to Fort Worth. Once in Fort Worth, I joined Northwest ISD. I taught 2nd grade at Peterson Elementary for 2 and a half years before we moved to Pittsburg, TX! I have really enjoyed teaching at different levels, and seeing students grow and conquer goals!
I have been married for 10 years to Derek Bohannon. Together, we have to beautiful little girls, Trinity (5) and Lylah (1). Trinity attends Pre-K at Harts Bluff. We also have a Golden Retriever Lab mix named Shadow.
When I am not teaching, I love to spend time with my family. We enjoy being at the lake, doing things outdoors, and just making memories!
