This will be my sixth year to teach in Harts Bluff ISD.

I am teaching 10^th grade US History and Dual Credit US History.

I previously taught in Conroe ISD for six years.

I have a seven year old daughter named Jesse.  She is absolutely wonderful. She is in Mrs. Fisher’s 2nd Grade class at Harts Bluff!!

I absolutely love dogs. We currently have 2 dogs: Tess and Nyx. We also have two black cats named Minx and Meow Meow and one fish named Hevo.

I also have a sister who is a teacher and she is the other Ms. Ellington at HB :)

Besides learning about history, I also love reading, watching a variety of sports, puzzles, painting/drawing (although not very well), and playing video games. 

I am from Marietta which is just right down the road. I graduated from Paul H. Pewitt High School in 2003 and I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.

My favorite team to watch is the Oklahoma Sooners. BOOMER SOONER!

I absolutely love Abraham Lincoln. He’s my favorite historical figure. I love learning about the side of history that gets overlooked because I find those stories the most interesting.

I love reading Harry Potter books and almost anything from Stephen King.
