I graduated from Poteet High School in 1998 in Mesquite, TX. I earned my Bachelors degree in Education from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, OK in 2003. I continued my education and in 2012, earned my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M Commerce. Each summer I continue to learn the newest and best writing techniques and reading strategies as I want to continue growing as an educator.

I joined Harts Bluff in 2015 and absolutely LOVE being a Bulldog! If I could choose any teaching job, 7th grade English would be it. My favorite things to teach are poetry, dramas, and class novels.
My family and I moved from the East Dallas area summer of 2015. I taught 7th English for Garland ISD at Lyles Middle School prior to this. My first job was at Galloway Elementary, teaching 6th grade English/Reading in Mesquite, Texas.
In 2002, I married my best friend, Brad, and we have 2 fantastic children, twins, Molly and Paisley, who are in fourth grade here at Harts Bluff. We live on a farm in Omaha and have chickens, pigs, and our dog Betsy, and our farm cats!
I love people...entertaining and cooking or going out with friends is one of my favorite things. I also love just being with my family and enjoying outdoor activities...or even just sitting on my porch. Volunteering is something I feel called to do and do it as often as I can. I LOVE to dance, am incredibly bad at it, but do it anyway!
