Hi!

I am Maria Hernandez, dyslexia therapist at Harts Bluff ISD. This will be my 16th year in the education field. I've worked for Headstart for nine years before coming to Harts Bluff. This will be my sixth year working at Harts Bluff, I have served as a teacher aide, Spanish teacher, interventionist, and currently as a dyslexia therapist and GT coordinator. I am marry and have three kids, Natalie who will be a senior at MPISD, Anthony who will be a 8^th grader here at HBISD, and Zaydie who will be in kindergarten at HBISD as well. I attended Texas A&M University in Texarkana and graduated with my bachelors degree in education. This past spring I earned my masters degree in special education with an emphasis in dyslexia from Midwestern State University. I love being part of the Harts Bluff community and helping our students be successful.

Soy María Hernández, terapeuta de dislexia en Harts Bluff ISD. Este será mi decimosexto año en el campo de la educación. Trabajé para Headstart durante nueve años antes de venir a Harts Bluff. Este será mi sexto año trabajando en Harts Bluff, me he desempeñado como asistente de maestra, maestra de español, intervencionista y actualmente como terapeuta de dislexia y coordinadora de GT. Estoy casada y tengo tres hijos, Natalie, que será estudiante de último año en MPISD, Anthony, que será estudiante de octavo grado aquí en HBISD, y Zaydie, que también estará en jardín de infantes en HBISD. Asistí a la Universidad de Texas A&M en Texarkana y me gradué con mi licenciatura en educación. La primavera pasada obtuve mi maestría en educación especial con énfasis en dislexia de Midwestern State University. Me encanta ser parte de la comunidad de Harts Bluff y ayudar a nuestros estudiantes a tener éxito.
